League FAQ

Langley Mixed Slo-Pitch is Canada's largest COED league and is a non-profit society registered in the Province of BC.

When does the league start?

The Spring season starts around the first week of April with play offs posted on our web site. The Fall season starts in August with playoffs in October. Visit our Tournament page for exact dates.

What is the league format?

The COED League is a 6 and 4 (6 men/4 women) using the Big Ball / small ball format. There are 160-176 teams in the Spring season, split into 22 divisions of 8 teams (A1/A2, B1/B2, C1/C2, D1/D2, E1/E2, F1/F2, G1/G2, H1/2, I1/2, J1/J2 & K1/K2). The Men's League is as per SPN rules and currently is only available in Spring.The Fall season has 96 teams, split into 10 divisions of 8 teams (A thru L).

How much are team league fees?

The league fees for the 2019 Spring season are $1,250.00 per team, with FULL PAYMENT required at the Annual Spring Meeting Webinar [ASMW] 2019 date is TBD. The $1,250.00 is broken down as: League fees of $1,200 and Fine Bond deposit of $50 (refundable if not used). Fees are subject to change.

Individual player fees are different for all teams, depending on each team's fund raising, tournament play, and sponsorship.

What do league fees include?

Your team's league fees for:

Spring season include; 22 league games, Season Ending Playoff tournament in July, SPN carded umpires, three dozen game balls, line up cards, score books, bases at all diamonds and SPN registration and insurance.

Fall season fees include 14 league games, Season Ending Playoff tournament in October, SPN carded umpires, one and a half dozen game balls, line up cards, score books AND bases at all diamonds. You must be registered with SPN-BC for insurance purposes. Fall ball fees do NOT include SPN registration.

What fields do we play at?

LMSP play out of three parks in Langley, BC. Our main fields of play are McLeod Athletic Park, Michael J Smith & Ron Ralph diamonds, Brown Road Park, Denny Ross Park & Noel Booth Park. Directions to the Fields.

What days of the week do we play on?

Our allotments are Monday to Friday depending on the park. No weekend games, except for Mid- Season Spring league play and Season Ending Playoff tournament. Game times are: 6:30, 7:50 & 9:10 PM.

How can I enter a team into the league?

If you have an interest in putting a team into our league, please go online and complete an application and/or contact our executive for more information.

How can I find a team to play on?

For any individuals or couples looking for a team to play on this season, please register in the Player Pick Up OR our FaceBook page and post your name(s), experience level, position(s) played, and contact information. Coaches check the postings regularly, so they will contact you directly with more details.
