League FAQ
Langley Mixed Slo-Pitch, around since 1989, is a non-profit society registered in the Province of BC.
When does the league start?
The Spring season starts around the last week of March with playoffs in July. The Fall season starts first week of August with playoffs in lat September / early October. Visit our Tournament page for exact dates.
What is the league format?
The COED League is a 6 and 4 (6 men/4 women) using the Big Ball / small ball format.
There are +/- 144 teams in the Spring season, split into 22 divisions of 8 teams (A1/A2, B1/B2, C1/C2, D1/D2, E1/E2, F1/F2, G1/G2, H1/2, I1/2, J1/J2 & K1/K2).
The Fall season has +/- 72 teams, split into 9 divisions of 8 teams (A thru I).
How much are team league fees?
The league fees for :
2024 Spring season are $1,575.00 per team, with FULL PAYMENT required at the Annual Spring Meeting Webinar [ASMW] 2024 date is TBD. Fees are subject to change.
2024 Fall ball fees are $900.00 per team, SPN Membership EXCLUDED.
Individual player fees are different for all teams, depending on each team's fund raising, tournament play, and sponsorship.
What do league fees include?
Your team's league fees for:
Spring season include; 22 league games, Season Ending Playoff tournament in July, SPN carded umpires, three dozen game balls, line up cards, score books, bases at all diamonds and SPN registration and insurance.
Fall season fees include 14 league games, Season Ending Playoff tournament, SPN carded umpires, one and a half dozen game balls, line up cards, score books AND bases at all diamonds. You must be registered with SPN-BC for insurance purposes. Fall ball fees do NOT include SPN registration. If you have played in another League covered with SPN you do NOT have to pay the SPN registration fee.
What fields do we play at?
LMSP play out of three parks in Langley, BC. Our main fields of play are McLeod Athletic Park, Michael J Smith & Ron Ralph diamonds, Brown Road Park & Noel Booth Park. Directions to the Fields.
Fall ball uses MAP, Brown Road & Noel Booth ONLY.
What days of the week do we play on?
Our allotments are Monday to Friday depending on the park. No weekend games, except for Mid- Season Spring league play and Season Ending Playoff tournament. Game times are: 6:30, 7:50 & 9:10 PM. Spring Season has Elite & A division teams playing Monday, with remaining divisions spread thru out the week.
Fall ball has NO SET days / division

How can I find a team to play on?
For any individuals or couples looking for a team to play on this season, please register in the Player Pick Up OR our FaceBook page and post your name(s), experience level, position(s) played, and contact information. Coaches check the postings regularly, so they will contact you directly with more details.
